PARK RULES

Dear Guest, 

Welcome to BIG4 Colonial Holiday Park. As per your guest registration card signed at check-in, please familiarise yourself with the below;

OFFICE HOURS: 9:00am to 5:00pm seven days a week. Hours are extended through peak periods and will vary on public holidays, please check our office door for current hours.  

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT: Check In time is 1.00pm and Check Out time is 10.00am. Early check-in and late departure requests are subject to approval by management. 

NO SMOKINGPlease observe all NO SMOKING notices. No smoking includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes and vaping. No Smoking in cabins, park buildings or communal areas. Failure to observe the No Smoking rule /  notices will result in you incurring a cleaning fee of $250.00. Smokers are permitted to smoke on cabin verandah.

NOISE / BEHAVIOUR: PARK QUIET TIME IS 10pm to 7am daily, excessive noise is not permitted during these hours. For the comfort of all patrons this must be strictly adhered to. Abusive language  (including swearing), physical intimidation or assault will not be tolerated at any time and will result in your removal from the park. 

VEHICLES: Speed Limit is 10kph for all vehicles, including push bikes and scooters, and must be adhered to at all times. No unregistered vehicles or trailers are permitted in the park. No vehicles to be driven by unlicensed drivers. Vehicles, boats and trailers must be parked in the designated areas and must not be parked on the roadways of the park. Electric vehicles are not permitted to be charged at park cabins, facilities or sites. Vehicles, Caravans and Boats are only to be washed in the designated wash bays, not at cabins or sites.

BIKES, SCOOTERS, SKATEBOARDS ETC: Bicycles and scooters may be ridden within the park during daylight hours only. They are to be ridden in a manner that does not endanger, or is not likely to endanger, themselves, other property or any other persons. Helmets must be worn at all times. The boom gate and amenity areas are no ride zones. Park management reserve the right to confiscate any bike or scooter that is being used in a prohibited area, or they deem is being used in a manner considered dangerous or a nuisance. The use of skateboards, roller blades or roller skates is NOT PERMITTED in the park for safety reasons.

VISITORS: Visitors must register at the office prior to entry into the park. Visitors are to park their vehicles in the visitor’s car park in front of the office. No visitors are permitted to use any of the park’s facilities or to stay overnight unless they have registered as guests and paid the appropriate charges (visitor’s fees) at the office. Guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors and must ensure that they are aware of, and abide by, the park rules. A group of visitors consisting of 6 or more people is classed as a ‘group event’. ‘Group events’ must have prior permission from management.

PETS (DEFINED AS DOGS AND CATS ONLY): Pets are only permitted in the park with the prior approval of management. Pet owners must ensure they are aware of, and abide by, the park pet policy. You will be asked to remove your pet from the park if your pet becomes aggressive or causes a nuisance (constant barking is one) to other people or pets, or for any breech of the park pet policy. Pets are not permitted within the pool area, amenities, camp kitchen, BBQ areas or laundries. The park pet policy is available from the office or at https://big4colonialhp.com.au/park-info/pets/

EMERGENCY ASSEMBLY POINT AND EMERGENCY EXITS: The emergency assembly area and exits are displayed on the site noticeboard, in each park building, all cabins and shown on the park map. In case of an emergency an alarm will sound. Please make your way immediately to the assembly area and follow instruction from the park wardens. 

CABINS: Upon entry into the cabin please observe and advise us immediately of any breakages or items out of order. Please leave the kitchen as you found it. Wash, dry and return all dishes to their allocated areas. All breakages and damages must be reported to Management prior to your departure. Management reserves the right to charge your credit card for any outstanding charges that apply to your booking. This includes extra cleaning, excess rubbish removal, additional unpaid guests, extended stays, late checkouts, property theft, any repairs or damage to park property. Australian standards state that in the interest of safety, children under the age of 9 years of age should not sleep on top bunks and children should not play on bunk beds.

SITES: Upon entry observe and advise us of any damage to the utility services. Upon exit turn off the water tap, electricity connection and replace the grate over the grey water point. Greywater disposal points are for the disposal of greywater ONLY. For sites with no grey water disposal, grey water is to be collected and disposed of into the designated dump point. All Black water is to be disposed of at the designated dump point. Place all service connections to your van, vehicle or tent so as not to cause a nuisance to neighbouring sites and management in maintaining the surrounding site area. Park your vehicles, caravan and/or trailer within the site boundaries, as per the parking guide. 

SWIMMING POOL: The Pool Area is only available for use by residents, guests and their registered visitors. Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.  No one is to permit any child or person who cannot swim to enter the pool enclosure unless they are supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Pool users must not do anything that would endanger any other person and must abide by the ‘pool rules’ displayed within the pool area. Current pool opening times are displayed on the pool rules sign. Children who are not yet toilet trained must wear swimming nappies whilst in the pool. 

AMENITY AND LAUNDRY AREAS: The amenities and laundries are for registered guests and residents only. The washing of pets or pet bedding is strictly prohibited. Bathing of infants or young children in the laundry tubs, or washing of clothes in hand basins or showers is not permitted. We ask that children under the age of 8 years be supervised by a responsible adult while using the amenity or laundry facilities. Please be considerate of the next user and always leave the facilities in a clean and tidy condition after use. Clothes should be removed from machines / lines as soon as practical.

BBQ & CAMP KITCHEN: The use of the park’s barbeques & camp kitchen areas are permitted between the hours of 7am and 9.30pm daily. Please leave the area in a clean and tidy condition. Children under the age of 16 years must be under the supervision of a responsible adult. 

GAMES ROOM AND FIRE PIT: Those using these areas must abide by the Rules displayed and be considerate of other users at all times.

CAMP FIRES, BBQS, GENERATORS (MOTORISED BY FUEL): Only contained gas BBQ’s and other contained gas cooking equipment may be used in the park for cooking. No other means of cooking or heating is permissible. Generators are not to be used in the park unless express permission has first been granted by management.

GARBAGE: Place all garbage in the bins provided. Recycle Bins are for RECYCLABLE MATERIAL ONLY and not for general refuse. 

PERMANENT RESIDENTS: Our park has a large number of permanent residents. This means the Park is their permanent place of residence and that the homes they occupy are self-owned. We ask that during your stay you respect our residents, their property and their right to the quiet enjoyment of their home.

Perfect for families with two bedrooms, one with Queen size bed, and one with bunk beds. The open plan lounge and kitchen area are ideal for relaxing. 

With your own bathroom and separate toilet, this cabin is great for longer stays.

Outside you will find an enclosed verandah with a picnic table and car parking space right out the front.
