ABOUT US
BIG4 Colonial Holiday Park & Leisure Village is an independent member of BIG4 Holiday Parks of Australia. Formally known as Colonial Leisure Village, the park is owned, operated and managed by the Callagher family.
The current owners, brother and sister duo, David and Marilyn Callagher took the reins in 2012. In June 2018 David’s son, Kane and his wife Bonnie were welcomed as the new live-in managers of the park.
Over the last 12 years, a steady stream of upgrades have been made to park facilities and accommodation; including interior and exterior fit-out of cabins, concrete roading, concrete slabs and layout of 31 sites, BBQ area and custom-designed ensuite amenities block. In December 2017 the addition of 5 custom-designed Executive 2 Bedroom Villas took the accommodation lineup to 14 cabins in total. December 2020 saw the completion of the upgrade of the Camp Kitchen, Games Room and pool complex. In 2024 an off-leash dog park and new front entry have been completed.
The Caravan Park and sites are spread out over 12 acres and sits adjacent to Crowdy Bay National Park. An abundance of wildlife surrounds the park, including kookaburras, parrots, kangaroos, and the odd koala.
The Colonial Leisure Village is an over 55’s community located within the BIG4 Colonial Holiday Park. It contains 63 long term permanent sites and has approximately 80 permanent residents.
